McLean Poncho

This easy-to-wear poncho is made from two rectangles of stockinette stitch decorated with a few rows of a fun slip stitch pattern. There's only one seam to sew! Finish off the edges with a few rows of garter stitch, and you have an uber-wearable layer of warmth.

Written with beginners in mind, the pattern includes a few techniques that will bring your skills to the next level: working a basic slip stitch, picking up stitches, and knitting the neckband in the round. Bulky yarn makes for a quick knit.
