Clean Up This Mess: Craft Room Cleanup Workflow
When it comes time to clean up my crafting studio, I have a hard time staying on task.
That's why I created this decision tree that does the hard part, by making decisions before you pick up a single thing.
This is the complete workflow that I use in my own studio to organize everything from yarn and WIPs to finished objects, books, tools, paperwork and (oops) even the dirty dishes that sometimes end up there. It works because you set your priorities up front, then just follow the arrows, answering yes or no questions as you go.
What's included:
- Full, multi-page Craft Room Cleanup Flowchart, covering every category of stuff that ends up in a knit/crochet crafting space
- Notes on how I use the workflow in my own studio
- Guidance on adapting the decision flow for your own priorities—whether that is finishing gifts, busting your stash, or just being able to find things
This is for you if:
- You have startitis and umpteen unfinished projects to show for it
- You get overwhelmed by cleanup because every decision requires more decisions
- You want a system that works for your priorities—which can change
- You're ready to know what you have, find what you have, and make a plan for what you have
It's not necessarily going to make your space Instagram-worthy, but it will make it YOU-worthy!
